Career days at RWU: November 9-11
From November 9 to 11, the virtual career days will take place at RWU. The online profiles of the approximately 50 participating companies can be found at www.rwu.de/karrieretage.

Your first steps at RWU
Let's go! The first days of study are exciting. Full of new experiences and impressions, but also full of question marks. We have collected the most important information for our new students.

RWU surveys students about Corona Semester
The Corona pandemic challenges all members of the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) in their everyday work and studies. To learn from this for the coming semester, the university conducted a survey to get an idea of the experiences and impressions of the students.

Opportunities of digitalisation in tourism
Students at the RWU collected data on changed travel behaviour under the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic. The focus was on innovative IT applications for tourism and the willingness of travellers to include them in planning and holidays.

At home and in the robotics lab
70 students successfully completed the industrial robotics laboratory despite the corona restrictions. This was possible because Professor Dr. Konrad Wöllhaf brought a virtual copy of the laboratory and the robots to their computers and thus to their homes.

Application period & application procedure
In the course of the Corona measures, the application period for the winter semester 2020/2021 has also been postponed. The application portal for RWU programs participating in the local admissions process has been open since May 5.

Information & FAQ
You will find all information and regulations bundled under the menu item "Handling of corona at the RWU".

"The basic orientation of our health system is right"
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the German healthcare system is facing great challenges. Professor Dr. Jan-Marc Hodek is Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing at RWU, and heads the course in Health Economics.

Fiddling about for a good cause
The House of Makers and Engineers at the RWU wanted to put its skills at the service of the general public. Now they produce protective shields for old people's homes and nursing services at HOME.

Digital solutions for challenging times
Together with computer scientists from all over Germany, RWU student Bianca-Maria Braun took part in the federal government's nationwide hackathon #WirVSVirus.

Semester start in online mode
The start of lectures for the summer semester was postponed during the corona crisis, but on April 20, lectures will now officially begin, albeit still by distance learning. 337 first-year students start at the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences.

Between digital consultation and window consultation
Shortly before the coronavirus spread in Germany, many students travelled to Germany and abroad for the actual start of the semester. The International Office takes care of those who are currently having a hard time.
