How to Apply

Not applicable for our English-language degree programs

When applying to start a bachelor's program, please first check whether the desired program utilizes the Dialogue-Oriented Service Procedure (DoSV) application portal on the platform. You can find a list of the degree programs which use this portal here. If the program you would like to apply to does use the DoSV portal, please register for it at Make a note of your BID and BAN, which you may also need to apply to other universities.

Register for the RWU student application portal. More detailed instructions can be found directly in the portal. You can then go through the online application process. Be sure to have all necessary documents handy, such as your university entrance qualification.

Once you have completed all the steps of the process you can submit your application electronically. Do so, but then also download, print out, and sign the application and mail the physical copy to the following address before the application deadline:

Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten

88250 Weingarten

You can check the status of your application whenever you want via the RWU student application portal. Our admissions office will process your application as quickly as possible. If your application's status is displayed as "valid" then you can rest assured that it has been included in the selection process that begins after the application deadline.

If you are admitted to a degree program, you will receive an offer of admission; if your application is rejected, you will receive a rejection notice or alternatively an exclusion notice, if your documents were not received in full or your application did not meet the minimum requirements for consideration.

If you have received an offer of admission, please read the acceptance letter and download it from the RWU student application portal for your own records. The acceptance letter contains some essential information.

Be sure to click 'Accept Offer' by the deadline, as well as submit the Acceptance Form, which can be found along with the acceptance letter.
